MS Teams multi-line code block and double spacing

Occasional Visitor

Our team has developed a javascript-based chatbot which is integrated into MS teams.

When we try to display data in a multi-line code block (using ``` before the data), we are seeing the data, but it seems like it is automatically being double-spaced... As a result, when our chatbot responds to the user with the data they are seeking, the data is a little hard to read, as it is spaced out more than it should be.

Is there a way we can disable this doublespace behavior so the output is less spaced out?

Hello, @mlenz, the issue is not about the chatbot, it's probably the configuration in your settings.

From the upper-right area of your screen, select Settings and more Teams more icon > Settings > General. Under Chat density, select Compact.

You'll now see more of the text and a wider box where you type messages. To learn more, read here.

One more recommendation is to learn more about Microsoft Teams backup options to have the possibility to recover any chats or significant documents in case of unpredictable system glitches.
