MS Teams Direct routing failover on derived trunk

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I have 2 different SBCs with different IPs and different geo locations. I want to achieve a scenario on client tenancy it should always attempt SBC1 for outbound call (teams->SBC). If SBC1 is not responding or responding with 5XX for example it should attempt second priority SBC that is SBC2.

Remember this is derived trunks model in customer tenancy (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/direct-routing-sbc-multiple-tenants) so there is no GW defined in SBC list but only in Voice Routes.  If swap the priority calls start going to SBC2 but failover still does not happen.

Simply put call failover on derived trunks model. Its happens as per expectation in carrier trunks model.

SBC used = Sonus 5400
