Monitor employee Teams meetings.

Copper Contributor

Hello!   We are looking for a clean and clutter free way to be able to view, monitor and pop into our various manager's Teams meetings without a mess of email invitations and calendar events.  Director "A" wants to be able to view meeting schedules and join her various manager's staff meetings on the fly as needed.  However, she does not want to clutter up her already busy Outlook calendar with the various meeting invitations from all her managers and does not want to deal with meeting invitations and reminders in her busy inbox.

Anyone have thoughts about the cleanest way to create this?  I envision a group calendar of sorts that the director has full access to but does not need to mess with invitations or reminders.  She could just pop into the calendar, jump into a meeting on the fly.

Is there a way to do this?   Thanks in advance!!!

Hello @Shane_G  One thought is to have all meetings created in a channel, then all members of the channel can see it and join without having to put them in individual calendars (obviously this won't work if the meetings need to be kept private or under NDA).

@ThereseSolimeno I've found in testing this the director still sees, in his personal outlook calendar, each of the channel meetings his managers schedule.  It looks like if you are part of that channel and meeting it will sync with the personal mailbox and calendar.  Have you found the same behavior?

Hi @Shane_G   It's possible that the director's managers are including him as a required attendee (calling him out specifically in the invitation, maybe as a cc?) and that's why it's showing up in the personal calendar.  In general, a channel meeting shows up in the originator's calendar and is available to everyone to see but a channel member has to manually add it to their personal calendar.
