I just got off the phone with Microsoft Office 365 Support. We have been having huge issues lately with Teams timing out and being unable to send messages. We are a small company, but since we rely on Teams for all our internal communication it really affects us. I was told that this is a known issue that Microsoft is working on and that it is affecting organizations all over the world. Estimated time for it to be resolved is Friday. Since I couldn't find any information about this (Admin portal or anywhere else) I thought I would share it here in case anyone else is experiencing the same thing.  Timed out.pngFailed to send.PNG

Hi Pieter, thanks for your response. Yes, we have the same issue with both the web and desktop client. I haven't gone through the logs - thanks for sharing how to get them. Since Microsoft confirmed there was an issue at their end I'll just wait until Friday. :)

I found the only way to get past this issue and to ensure that everyone in my team could access Teams, was to download and install the Teams app.

 

It seems that as Teams is integrated with Skype FGor Business, some of the code uses skype as well, and a lot of organisations have blocked skype.com and it represents too much of a security risk.

we are experiencing a similar problem where we cannot send messages to a certain channel within a team. The other channel in the team is fine. Did your issue ever get resolved?

For us it was an issue with our location since Skype is blocked in this region.

Ive been having this issue for the last few days. Very frustrating. 

I deleted the cache however its still occurring.

 

Closing the app and opening again usually fixes it temporally.

Did you ever manage to resolve your issue. I am facing the same problem where I am unable to post to one channel within a team. I can post to the other channels. I am also not able to Like any comment or even leave the group myself. I have tried getting someone to remove me and add me again as I am not able to add myself even though the group is public. I get the same issue on Mobile, using the App on my PC or the Web client. It does not look like anyone else is having the problem in the team. The logs do not show anything and the error messages are not helpful as to the cause.

@Marco Rotta having the exact same issue here, only affecting one Team and one Team Channel - other teams are fine.  But also the affected TEAM cant create a new channel either in there Team.

 

Anyone any ideas?
