Add an ability to make pasting images right into the conversation from the buffer possible.

I'm having the same issue with Teams as a "standalone" program (needed because, for whatever reason, Opera browser isn't supported as a Teams host). Copy-paste simply doesn't work, be it from the snipping tool of Windows7Pro, from Paint, from an image copied in buffer...
Colleagues using Windows10 seems to have it working though. Maybe an OS-linked issue ?
Il also seems to depend on which tool the correspondent uses. It seems OK-ish when others also use Teams, but I never had it working with people using SkypeForBusiness.

Yes, this is still an issue with the latest Teams build. Right-clicking from any browser (Edge, Chrome, FF, Opera) and attempting to paste in Teams doesn't work. You have to paste it into Paint, Word, or use a tool such as Snag-It to paste into Teams.

Is this conversation monitored by Microsoft ? It is a bug: image that is in clipboard can be pasted into any MS app ( Word, OneNote, etc. ) but NOT into MS Teams conversation.
I am using SnagIt for screenshots. I can paste screenshots into any app but not into MS Teams conversation. CTRL+V does nothing. Time consuming workaround is to paste it into say Word and them copy and paster from Word into MS Teams.
The same situation is with copying image from a browser.
Microsoft, Please fix this bug !

It's strange, because I also use Snag-It and it sometimes allows me to paste directly. Other times it doesn't. It would be great if they got this fixed.

I can reproduce this as well.
1. On any given website, right click an image and select "Copy Image" (that is in chrome, but there is a similar option in other browsers)
2. In Teams, click on the text area in a conversation and press Ctrl+V or right click -> paste.
It doesn't paste. Pulling out the snipping tool, selecting some screen area, and then pressing Ctrl+C will put the image in the paste buffer, but not copying an image directly. This functionality works in literally every other app I've ever tried. Facebook messenger, Google Hangouts, Slack, HipChat, MS Word, etc.
Have the same issue and can reproduce it. I also got an message from one of my users who raised this issue as well. Sometimes if you do CTRL+V 3 times then the image is pasted but then 3 times. Using this approach in Office or other systems works so I assume this is a bug.
@microsoft any official statement on this issue?

+1, especially as our org is being pushed to Teams as the comm & collaborate tool

I love all the articles that Teams had all the features of Skype finally and was "done" and yet we still have this issue and the inability to share desktop without making a call.

Didn't realize that you had to be in a "call" before you can share. ;( Good call out.

As this is clearly a BUG I would recommend everyone to file a support ticket towards Microsoft via the Admin pages so this gets some attention.
I have filed a ticket and it was confirmed as "issue" however for some reason it was also closed.
Until then i a workaround that works for me it to do a CTRL+V twice or three times in a fast sequence.
Been in contact with support and they believe this is a feature while I argue this is a BUG. So, since their view that this is a feature then we're pushed towards User Voice to get some attention on this. :\

Did they explain (or do you understand) in which way this can be seen as a feature?
(And you you have a link to a uservoice issue/feature request (I guess it should be called an anti-feature request in their language)
Here is a related uservoice issue:
Notably, the original feature request (to be allow pasting of images at all) was marked as completed in Nov 2016 but there are subsequent comments pointing out the same issues as in this topic here. Nonetheless, it was closed for further comments:
And there are also these which should ideally be redirected to a single one:

Thanks for the UV link and something support couldn't provide to me, glad it is acknowledged as a bug and hope it can bee fixed soon.

Currently the screenshots containing transparent areas cannot be inserted into teams with Ctrl+V.

It works for me from SnagIt if I have not modified the capture. If I added anything to the capture, I had to save the image as a png and then I could paste it into the conversation.

So I know there are workarounds, but they are annoying, I've voted on all the uservoice, but with such low votes doubt anything will get done. Is there really no developers that check these and can help drive the issue to the Teams developers? I'm sure its a complex problem, but works in so many other apps. Just copy an image from a webpage and paste it into Teams.

I've had the same issue when copying images from Chrome (right click > copy image). What "fixes" it for me is pressing ctrl-v rapidly twice.
