Microsoft Teams - Only people with access to this org can join its meetings error

Copper Contributor

Hi,

Recently, one user from our domain (she has E3 license) reported issue with Teams meeting.

This user organized meeting and when she tried to start/appear the meeting gets an error:

"Only people with access to this org can join its meetings. If you have an account with access to this org, sign in with that account. Otherwise, contact the meeting organizer."

Also, she can normally join the meeting when some other user create the meeting.

Please help.

Thanks!

Hi@HenryPhillipsNimbitech

Thanks for your reply!

"Anonymous users can join a meeting" option is already enabled and we're talking about our domain user, not guest users, so this isn't solution for this problem.

Hi @dklaric ,

So they have the link to the Live Event and then get presented with the Sign In or join anonymously option? Does it fail on both?

I have tried both myself as a quick test and it went in straight away. However thinking out loud, there are Live Event Policies that could differ between users. So just to be sure is native M365 user to where the Live event is being hosted on a more restrictive Live Events Policy or does this affect all? And if all, has a policy that differs from the Global Live Events policy been created and applied to all.

What licenses do users have, are they Enterprise M365 licenses?

But either way the Anonymous link would rule out the account side of things.

Thanks
