When using the Teams Network Planner you will have to fill in Sites.
Sites are representations of the physical locations of your company and are used in different ways within the Network Planner. Once completed, the sites can also be used outside of the Network Planner (i.e., as an export to the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) to help you with your quality analysis).
Below is the Description of the CSV file fields to be completed:
(Name)Full Company Name
(Name)Defines name of the site.
(Name)Building type description. Example value: Tower, Hangar
Building Office Type
(Name)Description of the building office type. Example value:Open Office, Shared Office,
(Name)City where the Subnet is located
(Number Value)Zip code where the building is located.
(Name)The country where the building is located.
(Name)State/Province where the building is located.
(Name)Region where the building is located.
(Number Value)Total Users in that site.
(Number Value)Subnet address.
(Number Value)The network range can be used to represent a supernet (combination of several subnets with a single routing prefix). Certain VPN implementations do not accurately report the subnet information. It is recommended that when adding a VPN subnet to the file, instead of one entry for the subnet, separate entries are added for each address in the VPN subnet as a separate 32-bit network. For example, instead of one row for 172.16.18.0/24, you should have 256 rows, with one row for each address between 172.16.18.0/32 and 172.16.18.255/32, inclusive.
Connected to WAN
(Yes/No) If the site is isolated or connected to the WAN
(True/False) If the Site is going to route through express route link
Site WAN Link capacity(in Mbps)
(Number Value)The total speed of WAN link of that site.
Site WAN Audio Queue Size (in Mbps)
(Number Value)The part of the WAN link that you’ve decided to allocate to Audio traffic.
Site WAN Video Queue Size (in Mbps)
(Number Value)The part of the WAN link that you’ve decided to allocate to Video traffic.
(Local/Remote) Access at a remote site or a local Internet connection when ‘Internet local in site’ is chosen in that column meaning then all traffic to and from the O365 tenant from that branch will not traverse the WAN.
Site Internet Link Capacity (in Mbps)
(Number Value)The total speed of Internet link of that site. For each of these values entered in the bandwidth calculator. These must be in Mbps.
Internet Egress Site
(Site Name mapped to Row 2)The Internet Site is the one where Teams users will ingress/egress to and from their O365 tenant. Branch sites may either use an Internet Access at a central site or a local Internet connection when ‘Internet local in site’ is chosen in that column meaning then all traffic to and from the O365 tenant from that branch will not traverse the WAN.
PSTN Egress Site
(None, Local, Site Name mapped to Row 2)The PSTN audio traffic will traverses the WAN to this named PSTN site or will use Local PSTN or NONE
