Microsoft Teams Background options not showing when joining a meeting

I have download the free version of Microsoft Teams. I am using Windows 10.

I have latest Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.2164 (64-bit)

When I open up Teams and select Meet Now, I have the background options and I can change/add backgrounds.

However, when I am invited to a Teams Meeting and I click on the invite to get to the meeting, I do not have the option to change backgounds. Only Blur option and none of the other images, nor the "add New" option.

Can you please help with aligning  Teams with the option to change backgrounds when joining a meeting? Thi is just not there.

This happens to me also.  It drives me crazy, and I have spent way too much time trying to figure out how to fix it!  I have uninstalled/reinstalled, changed my MS 365 subscription, and tried as many things as I can think of.  I set up a custom background when offline, but when I join someone else's meeting, there is no background and no options.  I look pretty lame sitting in front of a green screen.
