Microsoft E1 License Feature

Dear All,
I have joined few days back as cloud engineer one of our client wants clarity about E1 license like 
1-Can we download file from web to work offline?
2- If Client using MAC and he wants to work in excel/word can he download and work ?

@Archana1580 If they have no other licenses running for the client apps the E1 wont help them to cover these. Please check this overview Compare Office 365 Enterprise | Microsoft.
