Microsoft Account and Microsoft Teams Account screen email conflict

After updating and changing my Microsoft Account email address and then opening a Microsoft Teams Account it appears that my old email address is still showing in the Microsoft Teams Account profile. I understand that the profile email address cannot be edited in the free version of Microsoft Teams. Could somebody help me with this because who emails me now will get a null result because that old email address doesn't exist anymore.
