One of our users had a Teams Meeting last week (not a channel meeting) they had some good discussion in the Meeting chat but now they want to share that with others who were not originally invited to the meeting. I am not sure there is a way to accomplish this.
We though if we would simply invite those people to that past meeting they would get to see the chat history, but it looks like you only get to see chat history starting from the point in time you were invited to a meeting. So if you were invited to an in-progress meeting that was halfway done, you would only see chat history from the invite point forward.
Is there an easy way for the meeting organizer to get a transcript of this chat maybe? Am I missing something obvious? It wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks for your help!

I don't know of a way to achieve this, you are correct that a new invitee doesn't see the history which I guess is because a recurring meeting keeps the same thread and it may cause privacy issues.

Yeah, I figured that was part of it. The meeting chat does contain the start and stop time for every instance so in theory if I would invite somebody to a single instance it could just display the chat for that time frame.
But the simplest solution would be just a clean way to export the chat.

Tbh. Every normal meeting service allows you to export meeting record, teams simply lacks this basic functionality. I still don’t consider teams to be useable in business.
While sfb was lacking in modern stuff, at least it did meat basic functionality criteria. Teams has tons of useless plugins, yet lacks basic functionality.

Id you we´re recording the meeting that should appear in Microsoft Stream.
You should then be able to share the video to the related persons from Microsoft Stream?

Or perhaps a setting in the Teams meeting option to allow new participants to view the chat stream?
