Masking updates in channels?

Brass Contributor

Hi!

Is there a way to mask the updates in the middle of the channels? I'm trying to be as clean as possible for my students, and every little thing I do gets listed in the middle of the screen.

Here is an example:

Thank you!

Chris.

@Chris_Calli There is an update coming soon that will move these messages from the General channel to a Information Pane instead. So currently it is not possible to remove them but after the update you will not see them in the General channel anymore.

Thank you! And how about the other channels? (My screenshot doesn't show the General channel...)

Here are more screenshots of my other channels.

Thanks again!

@ThereseSolimeno This is actually NOT a solution. My original question is NOT about the messages about users joining and leaving a team in the general channel.

My original question is about updates in all the other channels. Here is another screenshot:

Thank you!

@Chris_Calli I have removed the BEST RESPONSE designation from the prior post.

Solution

@Chris_Calli It looks like other messages related to the channel (like renaming it and changing description) will still be posted in the channel. I don't have this feature in any GA tenant yet so I can't test it.

If you still think it looks to messy in your channels I suggest that you add a uservoice request here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/

Thank you!
