The markdown in teams doesn't work.  Well, it works some of the time, then typically fails.  A simple one to test is to type this (note, you can't copy paste either, which I also consider broken):

~~strike~~ **bold** `test` ~~strike~~ **bold** `test`

Instead of trying to do the markdown inline, it should allow you to just enter the markdown so you can see what you're entering.  Then, convert to markdown when you send.  This is how Github, Slack, etc. all work.  Maybe a preview?  But, you can always just edit the text which should re-render the markdown.

The best place to request feature is the Teams Uservoice, but it doesn't sound like Markdown improvement is goi g to happen ...

The markdown is a joke.  The links were working for a while, now they're broke.  I would give anything to get our company off of Microsoft products.

There appears to be no support for source code syntax highlighting:

```python
if True:
    print('hello')
```
