Manage Team Members in none private channel for scheduling unique Teams Calls

Copper Contributor

Hi

Is there a way to manage a unique number of users per channel that is not private.

The ask here is : to have 5 Channels with separate number of Users per channel, some may be in more than one Channel, Privacy is not an importance here, but then have the ability to schedule a 'meet' based on the channel / on its members.

I know this works in general, but any new channels created inherit the same members from the Team.

Having a Private Channel is a work around, but the issue is then having to use the work around in scheduling the meeting, which then does not interact the same way when taking 'meeting notes', and Notes end up with the new meeting and does not link back to the Private Channel.

Hope this made sense.

Thanks to @littlewizard for this workaround : https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/scheduling-meetings-in-private-channels/m-p/1...

No, all regular channels share the same membership as the parent team. If you want to schedule meeting with a subset of the user, you can easily do so via either Outlook/Teams, but "meet now" type of meetings will always be visible to anyone in the team.
