I have a channel set up in a Team for sharing relevant industry news. Since many members of the team are slow to adopt Microsoft Teams, I'd like to create value by sharing relevant news and articles. Unfortunately, when I share links on the desktop version of Teams, no link previews are rendered, making for some very boring uninteresting posts. If I post the same link on the Android app, the link preview appears, though.
Have linked previews in the desktop app been disabled?

Thanks @Christopher Hoard ,
I've logged recent comments in both of the Uservoice posts that you've referenced, so it looks like I'm hot on the trail.
Thanks for suggesting that I look in the web-based version--they do not appear their either, only on my mobile device.
How about this one? https://www.smartsheet.com/visualize-your-do-list-using-kanban-boards-optimize-workflow or perhaps this one? https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/13/jp-morgan-is-rolling-out-the-first-us-bank-backed-cryptocurrency-to-... Lastly, what about this one? https://www.ted.com/talks/derek_sivers_how_to_start_a_movement/up-next?language=en

Thanks for this. I tested and all appears to be working as it should. I have taken a screenshot
I am on Teams Version
You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.2.00.1758 (64 bit). It was last updated on 23/01/2019
As you can't see them in either the web or the desktop client it sounds like something is up with your tenant. My recommendation is that you take the screenshot above as well as your own and submit them in a support ticket. I tested this out on Web too for good measure.
Hope this answers your question.

Thank you, Chris. It looks like we're on the same version: 1.2.00.1758 (64-bit).
Is this a setting that administrators can turn on and/or off?
