Licensing required for Direct Routing

Copper Contributor

Hello Mighty Wizards,

I'm configuring Direct Routing for a customer. I've been told that in term of licensing along with the traditional E1 or E3 or E5 now we can use Business lincense too (Basic, Standard or Premium).

Is that true first of all? If the answer is yes do we have details on prices?

Thank you in advance for yor help.

Hi,

Yes, you can use the add-on Microsoft 365 Business Voice without Calling Plans (long name). Not sure about the price.

For Direct routing you need the Phone System license for each user:-

This says $8 if you are on E1 or E3.

If you are on E5 then you already have it.

@Andrew Hodges  My firm has Office 365 business edition. We are on Teams using the MS calling plan at the moment. We are looking to use a external SBC vendor to bring in our current DID's from our original voice carrier. All firm users will eventually want to use their current office line within Team vs the MS calling plan and assigned number. I was informed that we need to make sure all users have the E3 or E5 license with direct routing. I'm trying to find how and where to add that license to each of our users. Would you happen to know or have traveled down this road before?

Thanks,

Sam
