Left menu navigation toolbar missing

My Teams view all of sudden changed to "expanded" and when I went to change it back I couldn't because the navigation or toolbar with the icons to expand/collapse, start a new chat and refresh (see example) is gone. Does anyone know how to get it back?

@Vasil Michev I had already tried "turning it off and on again", which didn't work. Clearing the cache...yowza. It looks like that may also clear some items I might not want cleared. I'll see if I can live without it and if I can't I will try that route. Thanks for the suggestions!
