This has now happened three times. My latest Office 365 Teams upgrade destroys caching functionality of the Recycle Bin. Somehow is $RECYCLE.BIN is corrupted or the appropriate registry locations for the Recycle Bin are being screwed up. Behavior is simple. Recycle Bin loses cache function and all additions to the bin get deleted immediately. I went through the full command line sequence to fix a corrupted $RECYCLE.BIN, which can only be accessed at cmd level as after the Teams upgrade Windows cannot see $RECYCLE.BIN although all other hidden files are visible at the Win10 level. Normally you delete the $RECYCLE.BIN file and Windows will set it up again fresh. Unfortunately after the Teams upgrade, not only is the file corrupted and non-visible in Windows, Windows cannot, or does not, rewrite it as it normally would. The only way I have found to fix this problem is to do a complete reinstall of Windows (normal Reset and Refresh do not solve this problem). Upon a reinstall it works fine until Office 365 is installed, and then it still works until 4 or 5 minutes later when the Teams upgrade (the one combining Skype) writes over everything and screws up the Recycle Bin. MICROSOFT PLEASE FIX!!!
