Laser pointer not visible to others in Powerpoint Live presentations

I am trying to use the new laser pointer feature of the Powerpoint Live in Teams.  However, while I can see the laser clearly on my view (either presenter view or regular view), no one else who is watching can see it.  What is the problem, and how can I get others to see the laser?

What client are others using?

I learned today in my class that participants using the Teams App could see the laser pointer, but those participating over the web browser could not.
