we are getting some strange issues across some of our classes in teams
our classes within ms teams are sync'd via the SDS, which is fine and all the classes have been created within teams and our pupils can access the meetings etc
however we are seeing some inconsistency in regards to certain functionalities within teams, such as when a teacher presents a powerpoint and a student may not be authorized / post restricted cannot see the file that being presented whereas students within the same meeting are perfectly fine viewing a powerpoint.
or when a teacher ask if the students can hear them fine and most of them reply via the chat function however you get a few or the odd kid unable to
i just cant pin point these issues other than logging off and making sure your teams are up to date
which seem microsoft are pushing out updates quite frequently to teams
These are issues that you see from time to time! Often it resolves by the student exits the meeting and rejoins!
If there are certain students not being able to chat on a permanent basis you should look into if there are any messaging or meeting policy’s restricting this for them. Also check that if it’s Teams channel meeting, that there’s no moderation on the channel it’s held in or that the student is a member of the team and joins the meeting while being logged into the school tenant in his/her Teams client
