Issue with transcription when registering

Dear all,

today some users let me notice that when starting registering a meeting the transcription is started too.

Is there a way to avoid this? Most of our meeting are in Italian so transcript is totally unuseful, furthermore transcription is slowing down Teams interface

@MaurizioAngeli1340 Hello, you have two options here. Either you just sit tight for a week or two and then you'll have Italian as a language as well Live transcript in Teams meetings in additional spoken languages

Or you ask your IT admin to disable the transcriptions feature in the meeting policy assigned to your account. Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity "the name" -AllowTranscription $false

The above can be controlled in Teams admin center too.

Do you know if it is possible to avoid automatic transcription when registering? It is really annoying regardless of the language

Yes, you can always enter the ... "More actions" and simply turn off the transcriptions so you'll only record the meeting.
