Is this a real MS Teams E-Mail?

Copper Contributor

Hey there,

can someone tell me if this domain is real?

" noreply@emeaemail.teams.microsoft  . com "

Someone in my company received a mail from this domain saying that he was added to a team.
It includes two links, one to open teams and one to download teams.

I'm not sure.

Yes, looks like the default email address used for Teams notifications. That said, never trust a message just by the sender address, you can look at the additional information exposed within the headers to determine whether it's legit Microsoft email or not.

@Vasil Michev , can you elaborate on "information exposed within the headers" or point me to a good page describing what you mean?

Thanks!

If the user's email was added as 'Guest' in  MS Teams of a different organization, the user would've received this email. The user after accepting, will then be able to Chat or Collaborate on MS Teams across the organizations.
