We use multiple platforms for virtual meetings for individuals and groups.  A table of the comparison between the Teams application and using Teams via different browsers.

Internet Explorer 11, Firefox, Safari: video not supported, incoming sharing  supported

Microsoft Edge: outgoing sharing not supported

Microsoft Edge (Chromium), Google Chrome: fully supported
