Is SBC integration with Calling plan enabled MS Teams possible / allowed ?

Copper Contributor

If MS Teams calling plan is enabled or a partner hosted SBC service is obtained, can we still integrate on-prem 2nd SBC with MS Teams. Basically can MS Teams integrate with 2 different SBC (one with PSTN SIP trunks) the other to forward calls to legacy PBX/ analog voice gateways ?

Hi,

Yes it is possible to mix Calling Plans with Direct Route and it is possible to have multiple SBCs, maybe on Direct Route to a SBC hosted with a service provider and one DR to a SBC hosted in your own data center connected to an legacy PBX.

With Voice Routing you will then be able to select where calls should go. Maybe that all calls to +1xxx go out via Calling Plans but all other calls to +xxx go to a service provider.

Hi @abhowmick

Yes you can have multiple SBC Configured for the same user depending on the usage you want. This is majorly configured using the Voice Routing Policies which instructs the Teams Account which Routing Policies need to be used basis on the requirement.

Here is the Link for the same
