Is it possible to restrict the historical data that a user can see when adding them to a Team?

Is it possible to restrict the historical data that a user can see when adding them to a Team (and Office 365 group)? We're considering creating a team/group for all employees in the organization, but there is some concern about new employees beings able to see past conversations, channel threads, emails (in the group mailbox), etc. It may not be an issue, but it would be nice to have the option to restrict access to conversations/emails to only those created after someone is added to a team.

AFAIK, Teams does not provide a way to make that restriction for new users being added to existing Teams

Hello @Adam Sharpe  If there is a feature you'd like to see added to Teams, we recommend that you visit the Uservoice feedback forum.  You can make a request, others can vote on it, and you can track its progress.
