A certain user external user gets this error when trying to redeem the invitation to Teams in one of my customers tenant

 

Invitation redemption failed -- AADB2B_0001 : We cannot create a self-service Azure AD account for y...

 

Many users have been invited from different orgs without issue..Our customer don't have  a federated domain

I usually have to delete the guest account and try again when things like this happen. They will just randomly work, but I probably was just getting lucky :p

Yeah, thats the first thing I did..Deleted the account from Azure AD and redid the invite - Same issue :(

Tried s few times and finally it worked! Cant seem to find any reasons for this behavior more than that the experience sometimes just is inconsistent!

Yeah, that's basically what I had to do, try a few times and it would seem to take for some reason, never had the time to try to reproduce and figure out since it's not something that is really easily reproduced.
