Insert hyperlink shortcut defaults to text field—should be address

Copper Contributor
  • Microsoft Teams (work or school) Version 24046.2813.2770.1094
  • macOS Sonoma 14.4

When selecting text and then using the Cmd+K insert link shortcut, the default field is the "Text link to display" field. It should be the "Address" field, which would make Teams's hyperlink behavior better aligned with the expectation that other Microsoft apps, like Outlook and Word, have set. The expectation that Microsoft has already set with its other products is that users can select text, input the insert link shortcut, then input the paste shortcut, hit enter, and complete the hyperlinking operation.

It appears that this issue has been fixed. If it wasn't an update, then it was restarting Teams or my machine that resolved the issue.
