Infuriating Activity Badge

If I have seen a reaction or new chat in the Chat tab, it should automatically mark as seen in Activity and remove the badge.  I'm forever chasing the red dot only to find it represents old news.

Try logging out from Teams and back in

That's even more disruptive to do every time this occurs.
