I cannot sign in to the Teams app on desktop, nor on web.

I cannot sign in, after clicking on the button it displays a message "We couldn't sign you in. Please try again."  and when I try again this repeats indefinitely. I have tried this both on Firefox and Edge and it doesn't resolve. Meanwhile, the app can't load at all, after some time it displays a message "We're sorry - we've run into an issue. Try again. If that doesn't work, try signing out and back in." which I have tried with the same result.

However, Teams on mobile works just fine without any complications.

I have also posted the same question on answers.microsoft.com and an agent advised me to post it here for more help.

Hi, can you try from another connection? Ex. share your internet connection from your phone and connect your computer thru your mobile network connection.

 

Do you have VPN activated? Disconnect that.

@Linus CansbyI don't have VPN so it's not that. Also I have tried it with another network and somehow the app started working, but the website still doesn't work.

So from another network you can use the Desktop client but you can't use the Teams Web Application, correct? What happens when you open https://teams.microsoft.com? Have you tried different browsers?

From your network run NTC and you will get some hints what addresses you can't connect to.

Yes, now the Desktop client works even on the other network, but the Web app just goes into a loop like before, even on other browsers (I have tried Chrome and Edge) and also in private mode.
