I want to change the logo on the SP site that is associated with a "Team". For some reason, the menu item "Title, description & Logo" is missing.
Can this be done, i.e. using PowerShell?

Maybe you are right, but I can't see any way to change the logo in the Site Information pane or in the site setting page.

Sorry I was a bit blunt there! I meant to say that I couldn't do it either. There is obviously no way currently of syncing the two logos which is a pity. And no idea why they removed the option to change the logo which was already present in a 'normal' site collection.

Hi Andrew - Are you able to walk through the processof chaning that site icon/logo. For example if I crate a new Team Site "Jackie Wilushewski" I will get a sqaureicon JW with a random colored background. How can I change that? I did at one point but now I am not seeing that option.

In your team site, on the right most corner click on the group conversations to open Office 365 group in OWA.
And then click on the ellipsis and click edit group to change the logo.

the old title logo link worked on that page itself but when i refreshed my actual site it was once again overwritten with a site initials tile. Very dissapointing to see such a seemingly basic function dissapear.

It works on publishing pages, but then changes back when I go to any other pages, and remains changed back. :(

Click on the ellipsis (...) button on the right of the Team name, select Manage team and from the tabs shown (Members, Pending Requests, Channels, Settings, Apps) select Settings. Click Change picture under Team picture.

Thank you @James Yan, your solution was a partial success. In our case the Team & associated SharePoint site had originally been branded with one logo. Our organization changed and we wanted to rebrand with a different logo. When I generated the URL you suggested to get to the Title, Description and Logo page on the site (after rebranding the team with no impact on the site), I updated the the old logo with the new logo. It successfully removed the old logo (permanently... yah), but the new logo didn't stick either. Now we have the square box with the first two letters of the site name. Not perfect, but acceptable.
