How to add a large number of users to a channel?

I have about 150 people I want to include on a channel who are users of a particular piece of software.  Rather than typing their names in individually, is there a way to send a link to the channel that will allow people to join on their own without me having to manually add them, or a way to bulk import via their email addresses (unique identifier) to add them to the channel?

I have the same issue as you.  A post attempting to answer this question deals with adding to a team rather than a channel. Can anyone tell me how to add in bulk to a channel?
