How do I stop "out of office and may not respond" notifications in Teams chat?

Copper Contributor

Hi, I don't mind getting these (the ones that appear in a colored bar immediately above the field where I write messages) one time, but after I click the X to remove it, it comes back at various times while that person or persons remain out of office. Is there a way to have it only appear once? Or, if not, is there a way to just have it not appear at all? Everybody on my team knows when somebody is out.

I'm afraid no way to suppress those, though Microsoft is apparently looking into this. Go vote it up on the Feedback portal: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/91fe0515-272e-ec11-b6e6-00224827bbc2

@Vasil Michev Link is broken and the problem remains.

@Vasil Michev MS removed the ability to create feedback (probably very angry people) so the links in this thread are all bad.

Add to this annoyance the "how was the call quality" BS.
