how can i start a chat in an past meeting

Copper Contributor

i just finished a Microsoft Teams meeting with a few colleagues.

we talked and shared our screens, but we did not chat.

the meeting is over now and I want to chat in the meeting.

I can't find it in Activity.

I can't find it in Chat.

how can i start a chat in an past meeting?

or can i only chat in meeting if we have chatted during the meeting?

Hello, simply rejoin the meeting and you should be good. As long as the organizer has the chat enabled in the meeting options. Heads-up that location will differ depending on ordinary meeting or channel meeting.

hi@ChristianJBergstrom , thanks for your quick reply.

when i rejoin that meeting, will the invitees get a notification that the meeting has (re)started?

Hey, some might notice while others don't. But if you only need to chat with them you could just open up a group chat instead. If the chat content needs to belong to that particular meeting it shouldn't be an issue if others notice you rejoining.
