[HELP?] Issue downloading files from Teams desktop client - mainly Excel files

Hello,

 

I'm experiencing issues within my organization. We are all using the desktop client of Teams, on PCs running Windows 10. We have checked that we are up to date, for Windows 10 and for Teams. However we are encountering download errors, specifically for Excel files. It's not every Excel file, but that is mainly where the download error occurs.

I have searched past posts and the last time I saw a similar issue like this posted was back in April 2019. None of the previous posts had a viable answer for this issue. Any help would be very much appreciated.

 

For the time being we are utilizing our shared servers and email to send files. But the idea to using Teams is keeping all conversations and files in one place for anyone within a given "team" to easily reference.
