Have to restart Macbook after using zoom/before using Teams (for Teams to work)

Copper Contributor

Hello,

Is this a known issue? I have a newer MacBook Pro and I often have to go between Team Meetings and if I've used Zoom prior to using Teams, I have to restart my computer in order for Teams to pickup my camera and microphone (permissions are correct in system preferences/privacy). This happened on a colleague's MacBook as well. Is this a known issue that is being worked on? any fixes? thank you.

Hi Leslie, Microsoft Teams is not yet fully optimized for M1 Macs (in case you have a Macbook with the latest silicon M1 CPU). Have you tried to Force Quite Microsoft Teams instead of rebooting?
Click on the Apple sign > Force Quit > select Microsoft Teams and Force Quit. Then reopen Teams.
