Guest privileges uploading files to a team

thank you for a moment of your time ~~ When a guest (outside organization) joins a Team, how do they upload files to the Team?

My organization is a music publishing company, so the files are .mp3, .Midi, etc... In order to successfully collaborate with other professional musicians, I need for them to be able to upload files with ease in Teams.

I have successfully invited someone outside of my organization as a guest to a team I created for a new project within my organization. That guest has successfully registered and downloaded the files which I uploaded to the team, in this case .mp3 and .midi files.

* Now I need for the guest to upload their file so I can download them, but we're not sure how.

I was searching in Sharepoint and Azure for privileges and settings, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I sent a support ticket, and am also posting here for your help.

Thank you again!

Always a good idea to search this community or online resources on a subject to save yourself some time.  Like this previous post: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/uploaded-documents-by-guests/m-p/115440

Hi @falmvtex ,

Guest settings for SharePoint need to be on for guests to be able to upload files. These are in the SharePoint Admin centre and you will need SharePoint Admin role to be able to amend these. Once they are done at the tenant level you then need to open up guest access at the site collection level.

Once you have guest access turned on at the tenant level any further Teams by default have guest access turned on in SharePoint.

thank you for the links, they are very helpful!
Thank you! I got as far as turning the access on, but I was more curious as to the mechanism for guests uploading and managing their files in the Team.
