I've been invited as a guest into another org (the Microsoft org none-the-less). However, when I try to accept the invite, I always get the following error (screenshot below): Invitation redemption failed. An error has occurred. Please retry again shortly. I've tried this multiple times with the same result. Searching yields no resolution as many others have the same issue with no resolution. I'm a guest in multiple other orgs and can connect to them just fine. I've tried accepting this on the following clients: MacOS, iOS (two different devices) & web. Tried logging out and logging in again in an incognito browser... nothing works.

 

How do you proceed with this?

Maybe tell them to remove you from their AAD and do an invite again
Not really feasible as we're talking about an org with likely hundreds of thousands of users in their AAD... this is THE Microsoft organization.
usually when you're invited to a Team as a guest you can just login to your account and it will pickup with the tenant switch, but only thing I've seen work a couple times is have whoever invited you, remove you from the Team and send another invite. But if that doens't work then it has to be a back end removal and invite agian which as you said might be a problem :P.
Deleting and resending a new invite didn't work. This is absurd...
Can’t say I don’t feel the same way. I had so many issues inviting guests at my last company it was frustrating. It’s almost unusable, I was hoping it was better by now but it really hasn’t improved apparently :p.
Resolved: someone @ MSFT had to fix my guest account in their org's AAD... error gave zero indication of how to proceed or how to get support / help for it. Tried a few forums and ends up you just had to know someone who could look into it. This was a very poor support / customer service experience though, esp for a first time experience in Teams. What's worse is this post was copied into a Teams forum where people from MSFT were trying to connect with me to get more details... but they did this within Teams. Seriously? I'm posting about an issue being unable to get into Teams, so you move my public forum discussion behind the wall I can't get past? The Teams group has a lot of work to do...

I had the same problem when trying to log in from the web app, but everything went fine and smooth when I tried logging through the desktop client. hopefully that helps...

@Andrew Connell, sorry I know this is an old thread, but we are having one guest in a Team on our tenant that is getting exact same error message.

Did they give you any info about what they fix'ed in the AAD?
