Does playing a video from Team Files increase performance for all Attendees?

Copper Contributor

I want to present a video to all the Attendees in my Meeting.

Instead of playing a local video file while sharing my Desktop, if I upload the video to a Team Files folder and click on it, is it smart enough to know to stream it to all Attendees from the Team Files?  Or will it still Upload my stream into the cloud and then distributed it to each Attendee?

Will this affect performance in any way?

Thanks.

If you upload it to the files tab it’s a file living there and not in Stream. All members of that team can play it by clicking it. It will open in Teams if it’s a common video file type

What does this mean?

"It will open in Teams if it’s a common video file type"

Certain specific formats licensed by Microsoft?

But having Team members click it is not really what I mean by "presenting" it.  The purpose of the video is not to distributed it to Attendees to have them view it by themselves.  I want to play the video and talk about it at the same time.
