Disable Teams creation from existing groups

Hello Support,

Please I need your help on this.

We have disabled Teams creation by following this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/solutions/manage-creation-of-groups?redirectSourcePat...

We can confirm that the only accounts in our group are able to create Teams. All staff are able to convert existing groups to Teams through the Teams client.

I would like to find out how to stop staff from creating Teams from existing groups?

Hello, when you prevent users from creating M365 groups/teams they will not be able to create new groups or teams. But, if they are an owner of an already existing group they can add Teams to that. This goes for a SharePoint site as well, as soon as you connect the M365 group to it the option will appear. You cannot remove the "create a Team" button within Teams, but the "Teamify" pop-up in the SharePoint UI can be hidden with PnP PowerShell module.
