Deploy Teams (work or school)

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I am attempting to do a mass deploy of Teams (work or school) to a large number of computers that currently have teams personal installed. The only way I see to get the app installed from the exe that Microsoft provides online is for the user to sign on and then install. On our network, users do not have permissions to install apps themselves and I would like to have this installed before handing out the units. Does anyone have advice on the best way to achieve this task?

AFAIK Teams is usually installed in 'user mode' and does not require admin rights to install. You can read more about here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-ama/why-does-teams-default-to-and-encourage-a...
Hi,
You can deploy massively Teams Client using the same Microsoft 365 Apps deployment technique. See this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/teams-install

That link doesn't work. Says access denied. :( @Robert K
