There are third-party vendors that will plug in to Skype for Business to allow you to enable a chat conversation with a customer service representative and a potential customer. For example, on our company home page we would like to use our O365 accounts internally and communicate with potential or existing customers that do not have O365 accounts in our tenant. With Skype eventually being replaced by Teams is there anyone that will do that with Teams?

Agree, but we don't want to develop it. We want to buy it off the shelf from someone else. This type of development is not what we do and we have no interest in doing it. So I'm hoping for third-party solutions.

It's coming @Kevin Hoyt, the API required to allow this isn't available just yet, but I think I heard it's starting to enter TAP/Beta soon. You can expect all of the vendors which offer this type of solution into Skype to do the same with Teams, I would guess by the middle of the year.
We use Anywhere365 for voice and chat helpdesks alongside Skype, and expect them to release Teams integrated solutions later this year.

@Kevin Hoyt We just saw your message. We've been in the scene for a long time and have a solution called Enabling webchat that ties in with Skype for Business.
In conjunction with the release of Microsoft Teams over a couple of years ago, we embarked on a futurist journey for our next generation web chat application (Enabling Studio for Teams) that will no longer be burdened with software functionality boundaries. Enabling Studio is intended to eventually replace Web Chat for Skype as clients make the transition to using Teams. This real-time messaging application will run inside Teams or completely standalone to handle customer inquiries and end-user service requests. We envision Enabling Studio to integrate with business processes and applications to enable organizations to provide a more robust customer service experience. You can do a search in the Microsoft Teams app store for Enabling Studio. Enabling Studio

@jwalker1985Thank you, to clarify, this would allow our customers that do not have Teams to have conversations with our customer service claims reps that do have Teams through Office 365 through our public website?
