Custom Link to a call with a certain Person in Teams

Hey all,

I want to include a link on a website which automatically redirects you to calling a certain person in MS Teams. Similar like the 'mailto:' syntax works. I cannot figure out though, how to do this in MS Teams. Any suggestions?

I was dealing with the same issue and have seen your question.

now I am using deep link to make voice/video calls inside my Teams-community and also phone/voip calls with external users(also outside Teams).

callto: doesn't work for me, but teams.microsoft.com/l/call/0/0?users=userid@domain.ext does. Teams then gives you the option to start or cancel the call with the identified user.

Is there in any way an option instead of a callto to make an immediate videocall?

Hi Linus,

For me does not work callto: to external users. Telephony licence I have and calls working through Teams fine. However when I use callto: to an external it schows me "something went wrong by search for the person you are calling". External users also have Teams licence. Can you please give a advice what is missing here?
