Creating documents during Teams meetings

I have Office 365 Family and the free version of Teams. I am trying to work out how to run a team workshop and use either Powerpoint, the Whiteboard in Teams or something else to create the equivalent of butchers paper notes that everyone can see during the Teams workshop. 

The problems I have are: 

1. I have been able to use a pre-prepared Powerpoint, but not create input into Powerpoint during the meeting.  How can I create or change a powerpoint live during the meeting?

2. The Teams Whiteboard works on my Mac desktop using a mouse but this is no good for writing notes. I need to be able to use it on my iPad with a stylus.  When I logged in to the meeting from my ipad I could see the Whiteboard but could not change the shared document.  I also cannot see a way to run a Teams meeting from my ipad as there is no video icon to even start the meeting.

 

Can someone help me with this please.
