It would be nice if there were at least 2 (or more) reply boxes for a thread. While I am typing a complex thought, there are often responses that need an immediate reply. It would be nice not to have to select all, cut what I am typing, post a reply, then paste it back, and finally continue the original. A second reply box that I could enter a quick reply would be convenient. I envision that there would be a button to add a reply box, not that there be multiple all at once.
It would also be nice to be able to reply in-place. If the thread is very active then it'd be nice to be able to place a reply to a question right after the question post. Thus, a means to click in the thread to add a reply would solve both. If we are typing a long entry and see a need for a quick reply to a question, or a question that we just now noticing from the past, we could click on the question, answer it, and get on with our present reply.
