Conversation Panel and Chat bubble

New to Teams, and am running free account on Windows 10.  Cant get chat bubbles to work and conversation panel is not showing. Its not clear if this is vailable on free account Tried to follow various instructions to get to admin cedntre

What conversation panel are you referring to? The meeting chat? Do you have a screenshot?
