I'm constantly (every 5-10 minutes) receiving a drop down message in Teams saying "Call controls on headsets and other devices aren't available right now", which is shifting my chat view, causing it to lag more than it normally does. I can't find anything in regards to Call Controls in the settings, and the drop down at the top of the window doesn't seem to be a notification option, either. Anyone ever seen this? I've tried searching for the issue and cannot find anything.
I've attached a screenshot of the message I'm referring to.
Thank you!

I haven't seen it pop up since unplugging and plugging my headset back in. Will continue to monitor, though this has been happening for almost a week now, and I reboot my laptop daily.
Thanks!

I've noticed this for the first time today as well with a Jabra headset.
A pain but can live with it, but more importantly does this mean we are moving closer to headset controls being supported? Great if it is.
Many thanks!

I'm also experiencing this same issue with Teams.
I'm running a Jabra Pro 935 headset.
Would be great if we can choose to disable this message, it's very distracting when it causes the window to move.

It had come back and stayed regular, even after reseating the headset. However, I've since upgraded to a different headset model and the issue has stopped. My old headset was a Plantronics, not sure which model. My new one is a Plantronics BT600.

The message comes up if you have another application that is getting the call control signals. So if you have Skype for Business open then you will get that message. If you close SFB then the message should go away.

Dang. That's inefficient. Hopefully a feature gets added to be able to control those message notifications.

Our organization is also see this behavior (image attached) which is definitely a show stopper to deployment as the user experience would be a poor one. Any use of the peripheral device controls during call (mute, volume up/down) calls generates error message within UI.
Devices Tested:
Jabra Speak 710
Plantronics Savi 740

Just following up -- as per Davey's comment, I closed Skype for Business and that notification in Teams has stopped happening. Satisfactory fix for me.

@Sean Williams Is your call control working for answering?
I have a number of devices that the call control only works for hanging up / mute / volume.

Are you referring to the button on my headset? I don't use it so haven't tested it.
It isn't compatible with our 3CX softphone so I always pickup using the softphone button.

I'm dealing with the same issues. "Sennheiser SC30 for Lync" headset. I don't normally have Skype for Business running, but I'll keep an eye to make sure that process is killed. This headset has worked perfectly with Teams for over a year, so whatever update was rolled out should be reverted, IMO. I'd guess it broke more integrations than it fixed.

Same with me (Microsoft LifeChat LX-6000). Helps if switch off from the meeting and join again.

Getting same error. Can confirm that no Jabra headsets work with call controls in Teams, doesnt matter if in Teams Only mode or Islands mode. Doesnt matter if SFB is running in background or not.
Jabra blames MS and states that they are fully compatible with Teams, and that this is a problem with the current version of Teams.
Im creating a case with MS today.

I experience the same error - and I am also using a Jabra headset. I hope there is another solution than to quit Skype for Business? Because that is not really possible for us.

Same error here. It would be great an option to disable it.
Seems to happen sometimes when I switch windows. It also causes the bottom part of the message area to go out of the scrollable region, so it's necessary to scroll up and down to read new messages.
On business, it is causing miscommunication problems
