We have an issue, even on the latest build, that when copy/pasting an image into a chat, the pasted image won't show, it appears from trial and error that it has to do with the pixel size of the pasted image, i.e. a large image fails, but if I crop it smaller then it works. Appreciate any thoughts.

We have the same issue, but it does not appear to be related to image size, but where the image comes from. Any image, large or small copied from a browser or other application does not work when pasted into Teams. However, I can take a screenshot with the Snipping Tool and if I do that, it can always be pasted in. If I copy an image from anywhere else and paste it into teams, it does not work. Furthermore, any image in teams if I copy it, it can be pasted into another channel or chat within teams, but cannot be pasted anywhere else.
Seriously, Microsoft? This is pathetic.

I truly hope that this copy/paste bug is dealt to before Skype for Business is replaced with Teams on 29th November?
We've been very patient since July 2017 and its now November 2018...

Just wondering when this and the other copy paste issues will be resolved in __ ALL BROWSERS __
highlighted text does not copy. attempting to highlight the text with the username, the date/time of the message, and the message contents does not work 99.99999999999999999999999 % of the time.
other times, it copies the entire history WITHOUT the highlighted text or it highlights un-wanted text
This is the most broken chat software I have ever seen....
perhaps just make a menu option to 'copy message' in the ... element of each message....

@Donovon Dildine In my case I can't paste or even attach images when the chat is with an "External" address. And I find it really necessary to have this feature available to be able to communicate more easily with customers and other business partners without the need to create an email just to attach a screenshot.

Thank You!!! That worked. Can't believe you have to do that to paste an image but I'm just thankful I can do it. I agree with the other posts that this needs to be truly fixed before Skype for Business (which can easily handle a simple CTRL-V) it decommissioned. @DoctorRudolf

So it's 2020 and this bug still persists. The CTRL + SHIFT + V & CTRL + V method works, but how can it be so hard to fix a bug about pasting an image? Is there any update?

I think I figured it out, and thanks to the Microsoft people for not telling us about it. It's all a permissions thing. It just happens with people outside your own organization, but if both organizations grant the appropriate permissions, you can share screens, and paste images. Since that is going to be difficult to have, I started setting meetings with my most frequently called people and then I pin them on my side bar. This way I have "bridges" where I do my screen sharing and copy pasting screen shots and everything works fine. I hope this helps.

This is still an issue on mac (where i cannot make the ctrl + v & ctrl + shift + v hotfix).
My Teams version:1.3.00.33671
When i send an screenshot into clipboard and post it from there the image has a broken link.
I have to quit Teams and restart to see my posted image.
Edit: If you don't like HTML Content, then please don't format copied text as html ...
Ok, we got a "working" fix ...
Post something with a clipboard image, save -> broken image
Edit your message you just posted, save -> image is loaded!
Is the loading trigger missing after first save??
