Chat is disabled

I'm a student and for some reason, it says that "Administrator has disabled chat for you" and it shows that in all my classes so I don't think it is the teachers' doing, ive tried leaving the meeting and coming back in and it's been like that since yesterday, however, it lets me chat outside the meeting, so im confuesed. how can it be fixed?

Hi, the admin has most likely disabled the possibility to chat with a Teams meeting policy. In other words I suggest that you reach out to the admin/IT support to get it verified.

Hi, probably not. But should at least know who to contact. It sounds odd that the students doesn’t have a way of reporting issues. Anyway, an IT admin need to look at the meeting policy assigned to you as the chat is disabled in all meetings.
