Channel Disappeared on Desktop App - Phone App Saved It

So today a user alerted me that a channel was gone. We thought it was deleted. It was just strange and there was no way to know what happened. We are all using the desktop app in the organization. I then pulled the app up on my phone and there's the channel right there. On phone. Checked permissions and everything looked fine. Still nothing on desktop. The only way I got it to show back up on desktop was that I changed a random member permission, after that it showed up. A bunch of the sub-channels were still hidden and I had to unhide them. Without the phone app then we may never have gotten the channel back or maybe one day it would've shown back up. Idk.

 

Seems like a big deal tho.

Yeah! Seems like a bug! Did this happen for one user?
Ask the user to do a full logout and login to the desktop app next time

I've had this happen to me several times, I also have a channel that's visible and shows new activity, however when I click on it nothing is visible at all. Usually it all goes OK after I sign out of Teams and clear the cache, but it's annoying as hell...

@DanJ210 I had a similar issue, I just signed out and changed any uppercase letter to lowercase or vise versa in the email/username. Teams then asked for my password which it normally doesn't, after signing in all my teams are visible again. I know it sounds dumb but it worked and I tried all other solutions.
