Cannot register for Teams

I'm trying to install teams. I have downloaded the desktop app. When run, it only has a button that sends me to a website to register. this button sends to to another website and from there everything ends in a loop. it says "an email will be send" but that email never comes.

I tried on 2 of my machines. happens on both. (posted a gif explaining this on twitter /w no response).

So any ideas?

That's very strange...can you share more details about your setup: are you trying to install Teams App on Windows or MAC?

I have installed the teams app for windows. (windows 10, automatic updates).

When i start it, it get a screen that basically says (translated from german): "You are not et in teams, but you can set it up for your organization". it has a button "register with teams" underneath.

When I click this button, i'm take to: https://products.office.com/de-de/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software?rtc=1

Basically, this has a button that says: "register now". 

When i click that button, i'm take to: https://teams.microsoft.com/_?lm=deeplink&lmsrc=homePageWeb&cmpid=WebSignIn#/guestLicense

This has a button "sign up for teams". 

Clicking this takes me to: https://products.office.com/de-de/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software?rtc=1

.... and so on.  (Using "chromium edge", if this is important.)
